I think best overall boxer to beat anybody put in front of them would be, Mike Tyson or Ali. But, pound for pount best boxer ever is 100%, FLOYD MAYWEATHER, yes I said it, Floyd Mayweather is the best pound for pound fighter to ever live. He is 48-0 in his pro boxing career. He has NEVER BEEN KNOCKED DOWN, never. He has made the most money in the the sport of boxing, and sports in general. What more do you need? Yes, he is not the heaviest hitter to step in the ring, but at the end of the day it all comes down to is winning, and thats what Floyd Mayweather does best. Win, win, and win! The next best fighter of this time is Manny Pacquiao, and he only landed 19% of his punches. If that doesn't prove anything then idk, go hate with someone that doesn't know facts, lol.
End of rant

Floyd mayweather is the greatest boxer of all time leeel & manny pacquiao? hahahah i am guessing that the only fight you have witnessed and decided you would just name those to fighters? sorry but no.

''He has made the most money in the the sport of boxing, and sports in general. What more do you need?''

This topic is not 'witch boxer has made the most cash', Money has nothing to do the fighting. Anyone can promote a fight but that has literally nothing to do with in the ring?

''at the end of the day it all comes down to is winning, and thats what Floyd Mayweather does best''

This is partially true, But mayweather only fights safe to secure wins. There is no talent or skill to that is there? what is so special about someone who throws a few punches and runs around the ring..

This really makes no sense and is not factual. He gets in tags you a few times and gets out. He's not going to just stand there and be a punching bag for someone. He's quick and can just get out of the way super fast. If you watch this video, [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , it will show you his fighting is all instincts. His ducking and dodging are all instincts. That's not something you can learn to do in the gym.

Like I said before, who is going to just stand there and get hit. Maybe thats why he has never been knocked down IN HIS CAREER. Not to mention he has 26 knockouts!!

Seems to me the only boxing you watch is the modern era's. But let me tell you something, Floyd Mayweather would not survive 3 rounds with Sugar Ray Robinson, I'm only saying Robinson because he's around the same weight as Floyd, I would say Robinson is 2nd best of all time.

Lol that is what everyone always say about a fighter facing Floyd. "Oh, this is the guy to destroy Floyd" and all this other mess. I guarentee Pacquiao would destroy Sugar Ray Robinson if they were in the same weight class.

Lmao. Listen Kid. I have been watching boxing for a very long time, I know more about it then you, I actually watch more then one generation of boxing. Let me name a few people who are better then Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis, Mike Tyson, George Foreman.

Don't get me wrong Floyd Mayweather is a great fighter, I would say he would be in my Top 10 of all time. If you had a fighter like Sugar Ray Robinson he would figure out Floyd's style within 1-2 rounds because he can adapt to any style, which Floyd cannot. If you actually watched that video that I put, his power was hard enough to actually make their heads go all over the place.

Kid? Have you ever seen Mike Tyson or George Foreman fight live lol? You obviously are a kid, you have no idea what you are talking about. Mayweather is known for adapting to each and every fighter thats put in his face. He doesn't train to fight someone with a certain style. He trains to make himself the best HE can be. He takes what he's best at and makes it even better. All those fighters you have named are legends. Yes, Ali would win if him and Floyd stepped in the ring. Yes, Tyson would destroy Mayweather if they stepped in the ring. But like I said in my first post, Floyd is the best pound for pound fighter to ever live. I'm not going to go back in forth with you. Just do your research/

Yes I have watched Foreman fight live and same with Tyson, and btw I bet you don't even know who Joe Louis is because you don't watch any other generations of boxing.

There are also many sources that prove that Sugar Ray Robinson is the #1 Pound For Pound boxer of all time. Yes, Floyd Mayweather is the #1 Pound For Pound boxer of our generation but NOT of all time.

^ This one is pretty much exactly how I said it would be.

Muhammad Ali > Sugar Ray Robinson > Floyd Mayweather

The funny thing is, even if Floyd Mayweather and Muhammad Ali were in the same generation they would still not be able to fight each other, that's why I am arguing towards Sugar Ray Robinson.

And btw... If you are just looking at statistics, Rocky Marciano is 49-0 43KO's

All I gotta say is that there is not a single boxer that can beat Floyd because of the way he fights. Before anybody says im a mayweather fan, im not. His way of fighting is just stacking up points, jabs and moves out, very smart.
