I think at this point the phrase "PC master race" is just a joke...

The whole reason there is the "PC Master Race" joke is because of the ignorance of other people.

Sure, if you want to play on an Xbox, PlayStation, whatever platform... Feel free to do so.
A big part of the PCMR is to teach non-PC players about how much better gaming is on a PC.

Console users try to protest the fact that PC isn't better but just look at all of the information given, it's complete stupidity to try to do so.

I've owned several consoles over the years and used to be a massive xbox fanboy. You can easily see the benefits of PC gaming compared to playing on console, all it takes is to just not be ignorant.

It's like all the classic YouTube console people; "no the human eye can't see above 30 fps". Just shut up, you are full of shit. If the whole thing about this being true, why are Xbone/PS4 trying to achieve 60fps?

I could rant on for ages about why PC is better.

The trouble is we have the "PCMR" people who act like the console fanboys:
"Nah consoles suck omg so bad" etc.

Proper PC players don't act like this, these people are just trolls.
True "PC Master Race" brothers try to inform people, not belittle them for their console of choice.

If you tech it seriously (oh bad puns thanks LinusTechTips...) then you're overthinking the entire thing.

If you like Xbox, play Xbox.
If you like Playstation, play Playstation.
If you understand the benefits of playing PC, Play PC.

It's that simple.

If it is truly made to be a joke, than it's the worst joke I've ever heard. Everyone knows that most people are going to take that too serious. So by inventing this "joke" you're just trying to start a flame war.

There is no such thing as better, as it all comes down to personal preference. The trolls who like to say this PCMR thing should just grow up and realize that (even if you're joking). What you said should also be reworded;

If you like Xbox, play Xbox.
If you like Playstation, play Playstation.
If you like PC, play PC.

By adding "understanding the benefits" you're making it out to seem as console players aren't as smart as you or you're just far more intelligent.

Just like everyone got over the "your mom" jokes in 4th grade, people should get over the PCMR joke as well. Especially since you see how it always comes out. Those same people should ultimately just stop worrying about what other prefer to play. Just grow up.

PS: I don't play video games.

I have been a PC player for about 5 years now but I have always had a console. I think that there is a certain relaxed feature of playing my PS4 on the couch or in my bed, it is just simple and I can turn it on and just play, no messing around with DLL files or anything like that - just simple.

Although I would say that PC gaming is definetly worth the trouble, mods and graphics are amazing.

TL;DR I think that you should just play what ever you want, enjoying the game is much more important than the platform

I 100% agree with your point as they basically all do the same thing within the topics of games because they mostly just play games except for the pc...that's it.
