Hey everyone, I was just wondering who else has been using the Windows 10 Technical Preview. I have had it for the past week(ish) and love it, even though it still an early build. Just looking to start a discussion with anyone else who has it and find out personal pro's and con's.

I used it and loved it, however I mostly play league of legends and there were issues with it in patch 5.20, so I switched back to windows 7 pro. Still runs great and is 100x better than windows 8. I really enjoyed windows 10 though

I have it on my laptop right now which is a Lenovo Flex 2 and it just runs sooooooooo smooth and I can flip around and actually use the tablet mode. Spartan with the web note implementation is unique as well and can see a lot of potential with it in future builds/full release.

Really? It took me ~30ish minutes like any other Windows install and didn't have any issues. Sorry to hear that though!

I've had my laptop set to dual boot between Windows 7 and Windows 10 ever since the technical preview became available. There were a few builds earlier on that were a pain and caused me to use mainly Win7 for a while, but it's much better now, so been using mainly Win10 on my laptop. Win10 is still pretty poor for gaming systems IMO since their's still a fair amount of incompatibility with games and programs, but hopefully it's all good for release because I really do enjoy Win10, and prefer the overall feel of it more than I do Win7.

I couldn't agree more. Like I mentioned earlier, on a laptop that can transform into a 'kick-stand' tablet like mine does it is excellent, and I have used the tablet mode because it has functionality with my laptop. And I doubt they are focusing on game compatibility right now and dedicated to working out the bugs with everything else. As far as programs, I haven't found anything that wouldn't work properly? What wouldn't work for you?

How do you get Windows 10? If I upgrade, will all my downloads still be here and still work?

I had one or two driver issues. My laptop has been fine but my PC is running some pretty high end stuff so some minor issues. Great OS though.

I actually got it through my college. I am not sure how someone else may acquire it.

Ah, yeah I am still waiting to build another rig but my laptop didn't have one issue at all which surprised me. But I guess specific driver requirements would be an issue to make everything function on a PC.
