Being on this forum through the years, I've seen people post topics about their inspirations, what helps lead them or encourage them to create designs, to create art.
I figured, why not make a home for these topics, a place where people can share their inspirations, and/or find new inspirations. What I hope to accomplish through this thread, is an easier experience to both finding, and sharing inspirations, while helping others explore, and have access to an abundance of influence, with just a few clicks. Because really that's all it should have to take, to open a new world of vision, to those who's eyes wish to see it.

Before you go on, I suggest that you read this. With inspiration, comes influence.
I myself like to think there are a couple of categories that come with influence, which I've stated below.

Now that all of that is said and done, feel free to check out the fields, sites, and user submitted lists.

Listed below some popular fields when it comes to digital art. I will provide some sources myself, but I would love to see the community help it grow. If you have an inspiration to which you would like added to a field, post it. I will try both checking and adding to the lists as much as I can.

Before you go on, I suggest that you read this. With inspiration, comes influence.
I myself like to think there are a couple of categories that come with influence, which I've stated below.
Passive Influence: This is the easiest of the two to chose, and believe me, all of us are guilty of going down this path. To be passive with influence is to pass it up, really. We watch videos, we read articles, stories, and we examine art, and become influenced. Though sometimes sitting back and observing is wise it can leave silent repercussions. If all the time we sit back and watch, we can get almost jealous in a way, or even doubt ourselves.
Too many times I see people post on others topics, saying "Oh, I wish I could do that", or "I'll never be as good as you", when the truth is, you can. Believe it or not, you are capable, you'd be surprised the things you can do, if you put you mind to it. So never be afraid to try things, no matter how far-fetched they may appear, I promise you with hard work and dedication you will be able to pull off just about anything.
Active Influence: Again, this being one of the harder to act on, it is the most efficient. To be active with influence, is to take control of it. To create things with influence to put forward ideas and make things happen yourself.
With acting on things we also put emotions up to the plate. Expect mistakes to happen, no one is immune to mistakes.
Try your best not to get upset with yourself, or disappointed, because everyone goes through phases like this. Mistakes are inevitable, but the way you deal with them are not.

Waking up this morning I've realized many things,
one of them being that this topic is still very much a wip haha.
I'll work on adding tags now, along with other categories in the future I'm sure.
Also, if you feel I'm missing a creative field, be sure to post that as well,

I started out on photoshop about 5 years ago.
Ever since then my main focus has been illustrating, because I've always been keen on traditional drawing since I was young.
I started out drawing lines with a brush, using a mouse... Then eventually figured out the pen tool, and kept learning.
Hopefully some day I'll be as good as my inspirations.
These are some of my inspirations...

I'm mostly passively influenced by them...
I don't think I'd be able to take a straight shot at anything like these, and have a decent outcome...

Updated the topic by adding, Tags and Portraits to the fields.
Along with adding a few pieces by Illustrated to the game design category.

Looks like fractal art to me.

- I have corrected some URL's going to misleading websites.
- Refreshed the creative fields, with plenty of other categories.
- I have added a "Websites" Tab, where you can find a basis of sites to use while browsing.
