My monitor after being moved no longer recognizes the vga cable input?
I bought a new desk and decided to move my laptops and monitors to the new desk. After unplugging everything and switching it to the new desk I plugged everything in. I hooked the back part of the vga cable into the vga port on the monitor and the other vga end to my laptop to hear the confirmation beep sound to know that my computer recognizes the monitor. I went to graphics properties and changed it to extended display but my monitor still won't recognize the input and very quickly goes back into sleep mode. I have tried this on two different monitors so I know that it is not the monitor and two different computers. Please help me. Do I need to change the input of the monitors somehow? I am so confused any help at all would be appreciated.

P.S I have tried rebooting with vga cable already inserted and no such luck. I have tried using a multi kvm switch to hook up both of my laptops. No such luck. Please help me search for an answer as I believe I am getting a new desktop for Christmas tommorow.

Additional Details
P.S Again- The monitor I am using is a touch interface on the side therefore input can not be changed on the monitor during switch. Good idea though. I probably should have included that information...

I'm not very experienced on monitors problems but my best advice I can give you is maybe call the company or support tomorrow. Maybe send them an email, also try to google and see if others are having similar problems. Hope this helps you in your problem.

Thanks.... I have no clue what it is. I mean I safely unplugged the power adapter for the monitor before unplugging it didn't drop it or hit it on anything. Plugged it in and now it isn't recognizing the vga input. Its **** irritating me cause I need it for the new computer I am supposed to get for christmas tommorow
