Because people are just naturally lazy, in fact so lazy they don't wish to use their brain power at the click of a key stroke. Yet they are so "Active on here".

It's also based on how "popular" you are to get replies to a topic. For example, in the general section, someone who is new or unknown may create a good topic, but it will often get overlooked due to them not being known. I feel like the "elite" members on TTG are just fed by how popular they are and sometimes act like they are above everyone else. I'm not naming anyone, and it's not everyone. Just select few of the so-called "elite" members on TTG

It's just incentive to get people to answer a question or help you. It's not like it costs anything to give to people.

I honestly hate comments like this. There are only a few members I can think of that a large majority of people know, not counting staff they would probably be; Thespian, Brigand, ImmortalGengar, IIGIFTGOLD, Rodent_Modz, and TDK (In no particular order). And all of these members are known, because of the fact that they create good content.

If you want to get known then post good content. It doesn't matter how many thanks you get per topic, or how much rep you receive. It's a number, on a gaming website, get over it.

My post wasn't about quality content and there's a lot more "popular" people out there. On the majority of the people I see on this site are the same people over and over again. It's not just those who post quality content.
