Do you need anything to trade in for instore credit or can you just walk in and trade them in?

I do not understand this question what so ever OP.
In order to get In-Store credit you can trade in your games for an amount that the store offers you in return for your games, that you can use to buy a "new" game.
If you're thinking you can go in and trade a game for another specific game, it usually does not work that way, since all games have different values after use, according to whatever store it may be.
