I have made a couple apps on the app store and it is really fun and exciting. I can imagine it being tough though without a mac as I use Xcode and it is nicely set up to submit. If you do wish to do it though lmk and I can give you the link to the class I'm taking its $50 and I made a pretty fun game within a week of taking the course.

If your on windows you can download Corona SDK and Notepad++ And You Can Simulate iPhone Apps Via Corona By Editing The Main.lua File With Notepadd++ You can look up tutorials on YouTube about getting started
