Learning a new language is a time consuming task that takes tons of practice. Don't expect to be fluent in a couple weeks/months.

There is a well known website called [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] that has been praised as a great language learning tool. They also have mobile apps for iOS, Android, and Windows Phone. Give it a shot and just focus on learning the fundamentals rather than quickly getting through it.

Good luck

I too suggest this site, I heard many good things about it!

IMO it's hard to learn a new language, especially when you're older because you're not used to it like if you were in elementary school.

I seen a TED talk about this a few days ago and found it to be pretty interesting, it's about 20 minutes but you should watch it.
