Basically I'm 19 studying my theory doing well on mocks my dad recently offered to pay for my crash course for my birthday next month and he is redoing his license basically wondering what's a good nice looking car cheap

depends on how you define cheap really.
anything with a 1.0-1.4 engine will be relatively cheapish to run, but insurance is always the pain.

Volkswagen Golf MK4 1.4. Cost me 900, insurance just over a grand (was 17 when i got insured). Look great, good on petrol and dont burn a hole in your pocket

Things have changed now sorry my dad's been driving for years but he is renewing his licence due to not driving a while spending about 1000 to 4000 on car any ideas for a good runner in that price range that looks nice because I'm gonna be driving it aswell
