There are way more exercises you should be doing. For chest you should be doing incline, flat and decline dumbell/barbell bench press. Flys are good as well.
For back there are more exercises than lat pulldown.

You want to try many exercises to hit the muscles from different angles, such a triceps.
You have the inner, long and lateral head of the tricep.
Just doing rope pressdown won't hit all the parts of the muscle and you will have lopsided triceps.

I know you said you just started gym so checkout [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
They have good exercises you can look at.

My workout routine changes depending on what we have planned for the day. Of course, if I have a hockey game scheduled for that night, I won't go as hard in the gym as I would before a practice. I play OHL hockey, so our routine and fitness is essential to be able to compete at a consistent level.

I can't really tell you a specific routine because it changes so often, but I can tell you what my team and I often do in the gym.

Normally, before practices we will do some bike sprints for 6-10 reps with a 1:30 break in between each rep. On the days we don't have games, we generally stay out on the ice for 2 hours doing an assortment of different drills and such.

After that, we generally branch off and do our own things in the gym based on what the trainer is setting up for each player. Each player has their own strengths and weaknesses, so each player has different workouts. Stuff like bench press, the ropes, squat machine, cardio and such.

On days that we have a game, we have a morning skate where we do some light skating to get our heart beat up for a bit and do some light drills, but don't waste all our energy. This normally lasts for 30 minutes, then we go home and rest up for the game.
