I like story mode only if it's interesting. But i usually play competitive games.

For me, if the story isn't that good, I hardly will be interested in the multiplayer. Granted I play a few games that are multiplayer only, however if I buy a game that has a story in it, I would prefer the story to catch my attention more than the multiplayer would.

I started out playing campaign only back the but only played multiplayer once I got in to Xbox 360. I'm starting to go back to SP games now.

On topic: It doesn't really matter to me. If the game has a good multiplayer, single player or both I will play it.

It depends on the game. Like Destiny I like to play alone.

For a game to be considered good, the story would have to be really good in many different ways. Two of the best games of I've ever played are Fallout 3 and BioShock.

Well, both really.
I like games where you can finish the story and get a feel for the game, then go onto multiplayer and verse other players.

I prefer the storyline games, love playing multiplayer too but I do not play to win.
