So, "my friend" is building his first PC and he doesn't have a lot of money so he can't afford to buy a $120 W7 disc, so my "friend" is gonna torrent it. The problem is, "my friend" doesn't know how he is gonna install a torrented version onto a brand new PC, or if it is even possible to do so. "My friend" would greatly appreciate any help you guys can give him. Videos, text tutorials, anything like that would be amazing.

Thank you. <3

Either get a bootable USB and install it using that or burn it to a disk and install it via an optical drive.

Well, "your friend" should get a clean untouched iso, burn it to a DVD, and install it regularly. Tell "your friend" to use a generic key to bypass the installation screen. Then tell "your friend" to use MSToolkit to activate Windows. That's what I did and it worked and I've had no problems so far.

Here's a link to the generic keys:

As for the MSToolkit, you can just look it up on Google and you'll find it no problem!

Good luck to "your friend" on his build!

This video im linking you is for educational purposes only lol. I am not helping your friend download it illegally Im just directing him/her. I take no responsibility for any illegal actions done by your friend. And btw you need to put it on a USB and put it as primary boot drive. But that was only for educational purposes only.

If "your friend" doesn't have any discs to hand, you can use Microsoft's own USB Download Tool that will create a bootable USB that "your friend" can install Windows from.

If you have the Disc but your friend doesn't then you can contact Microsoft and have your friend added to your Windows 7 software Disc for a small fee.

I don't think you quite understand the situation.
