I dont know if I could completely agree with you, I attend a suburban high school with 2,000+ students and the majority are intelligent & conscious.

I like to think that all of the people who were up themselves and act all hard etc at school will get what's coming to them. Now I am in uni doing what I love and half of these people can't even get a place in college, bet they are gonna love their future dead-end jobs.

Edit: In the UK college and University are not the same thing.

That's a generalization that might offend some members of the website. I'm sure there are many high school students here that are awesome members. I also ACT and SAT tutor on weekends for the local high school and let me tell you, every student I've had is great. In fact, I wonder how many of the renowned members of the community are in High School.

Mofis as far as your problem goes, I'm sorry that's the case in your high school. But don't worry when you get to college you're going to love it. I go to Cornell University, it's in Ithaca. And let me tell you, it's awesome. Once you get in here you leave high school behind. To be honest most of your better memories, are yet to come.

You just need to realise that it's there future and not yours, They will soon see how they messed up on there education and can't get into collage or get a job, if I was you I would ignore them as they are going to be the one that messes it all up.

Depends on the school and the place. My school is a magnet school so it's filled with people who want to be here. No they aren't "nerds", but we are very intellectual. Better than the average highschool considering we are 38th in the nation.

I'm slightly offended by everyone saying that these swag **** who are unintelligent will end up with no jobs and no place in college/uni. There are hundreds of people less intelligent than myself that attend college, or university. If someone is intelligent, it does not automatically mean they will go far in life. I dropped out of school due to the fact I despised the majority of my teachers and class mates. They treated me like shit, so I left. I now can't find a job due to the economy and have no desire to attend college or university. Although, after dropping out of school before receiving my higher level qualifications, I won't be able to attend university without first doing a college course anyway.

In my school, people didn't think they were "cool" if they were in fights or took drugs, most people were just top class pricks. A lot of the girls thought they were all that because they'd have sex every weekend, but that was only because they were easy, most weren't even attractive. Some guys thought they were cool because they'd get in peoples faces and try to start fights, but everyone else just thought they were morons.

I agree with alot of this. But not every kid that smokes Marijuana is dumb. My friend is extremely intelligent and he smokes Marijuana. He actually gets A's and B's and doesn't smoke just to get high. But I agree with the fighting and "Swag" part. Those people are really annoying.
