No. They know that putting a triangle in their video, or flashing a triangle hand symbol, makes people go 'Omg is he iluminate?' and it gets people talking about them, and their music.
The more people talk about them, the more famous the person becomes.

So the ironic thing is that all of these conspiracy theorists who hate the Government and hate the music/movie industry are supporting them by making videos like these, and even talking about these things.

I went into school about a week ago and everybody kept saying illuminati! and I was like what? Do you even know what that is? And they where like no and then they just ignored me.

Oh yes, the fabled Illuminati are a secret organization that control the music industry. How do they do such a thing you may ask? Why by putting triangles and satanic imagery in music videos of course! They are one step closer to world domination!

The whole "Illuminati" thing is nothing more than advertisement. Think of it from an artist perspective. Say you are a rapper and you aren't getting as many video views or albums sold as you like. If you drop something in the video like an all seeing eye or an owl or something then that brings more people to your video to see the "Illuminati" in the video and buy your songs so they can see if there is anything "Illuminati" in them. It just drives more people to your stuff and makes artist seem more mysterious, which also drives sales. That means more money in their pocket. It has nothing to do with a secret society. If it were real it would be just that: secret. If it were real there would be no point in dropping hints of it in videos, because then it wouldn't be secret anymore would it? Exactly. No. "Illuminati" just happens to be hot advertising right now.
