To be honesty i find it a pointless Holiday.I don't mind giving out Candy or anything like that.

If i remember right wasn't Halloween a event where people believed demons came out once a year and they dressed up to scare them away?

Deranged wrote Halloween is my favorite holiday.. but not for candy i never cared for trick or treating..

i'd egg houses, ding dong ditch, TP houses, sneak in adult parties, go to haunted houses, even highschool Halloween parties were fun as hell..

it depends on if you have friends and parties/places to go if you're going to enjoy it or not

Personally i love scaring the **** out of everyone and i love the creative costumes and pranks and this is the acceptable month for it because of Halloween so don't tread on my fun man!

you sir, arnt very smart hahaha

The only thing I like about halloween are the nightclubs.. if you get my drift

Going by this logic, isn't Christmas a pointless holiday? Replace candy with presents, and you get something called Christmas.

I really don't see your problem with HW, and no, it's not made up. Halloween is pretty old, considering it's European traces.

lol Only in Detroit ;)

In all seriousness though, let the kids have some fun. Sure, there are and will always be vandals, but good god, let em live a little.

*sidenote: anyone dressing up? lol

It's a holiday that everyone enjoys, children can go out with their friends and get sweets. Adults can either go with them or they can stay in and get a bit of peace, also there's usually sales on around Halloween meaning it's a win win for everyone.

If you aren't in the mood for going out or giving people sweets then keep your gate closed and tell people not to knock on your door.

*Is there a Scrooge for Halloween yet?*

A made up holiday ?.

Old Hallowe'en ,It's true origin.
Originally celebrated as November Eve by Wicca, Samhain, as it now more commonly known, is widely celebrated as the principle festival of Witchcraft, the Grand Sabbat. In the Alexandrian tradition it is said that "Samhain is the time when doors of the Underworld are open for the Witches, and they can communicate with the dead and those ancestors to whom they look for guidance".

Trick or treating is an American made tradition and has nothing to do with hallowe'en.

I live in Detroit and it's honestly not that bad around here how everyone makes it.
Everyone in the community sticks together and makes sure the "kids" are safe. Plus there's an 8 o'clock curfew here just to make sure. And on top of it. The police here that takes 2 hours to come to a emergency call comes and watches everyone (in certain parts of Detroit). So yeah. Chill on Detroit bruh.
