Because it's overrated that's why.
Characters = Crap only two chars I like would be "Levi and Hanji" Eren never changed the entire anime "Imma kill all titans kill kill titans blah blah blah"
Mikasa = Just no she's a badass but why can she do everything 100 times better than other members that have actually gotten experience in battles too?.. lol

I'm still reading the manga naturally as I like the setting but I hate the characters = My rating would roughly be 4.5/10

Shingeki no Kyojin is just.. a MASTER PIECE!

lol i hate Mikasa, i dont know why.. but Levi is definitly stronger than her.. too bad Levi's Squad died lol.. i liked olou..

i agree that Levi and Hanji are awesome but there's also Armin! the smart one, but also the one who watched his comrades die lol.. but i still like him!

Hmm It's the anime I'm giving the score for.. Don't you remember the flashbacks every damn episode.. first 4-5 minutes opening song etc. 5 minutes more flashbacks. - You're left with 10 minutes of the show left.
Manga = 7/10 no damn pointless flashbacks from the previous episode lol.

Attack on titan is kind of funny and cool of you ask me a bunch of awesome people fighting a giant naked guy. Lol 8/10

well, many many flashbacks lol.. but the songs they use for each moment are great too.. the first opening and the second ending is also good.. but those flashbacks aint that kind of a big deal lol..

in Episode 5 im pretty sure i saw a Female Giant..

All up i had to give the show a 8/10. As while it is overrated and doesn't quite live up to the hype i still really enjoyed watching it never the less. The premise is great, characters are interesting (while not quite fleshed out), action scenes are pretty cool and it kept me engaged throughout the entire show which is a feat that is not easy to achieve in my books. The show however had an array of major pitfalls that restrict me from giving it anything higher, such as the obscene amount of plotholes, lack of suspense, general predictability and what i think was a poor pacing at least in the anime adaptation. The animation and art where average and what i have come to expect from a modern show and i dislike the fact that the later half of the show was pretty much sequel-bait setting up for a second season, it was extremely obvious that the show was not going to end and that took a lot out of the overall experience. When taking into account the commonly complained about fact that Mikasa is overly glorified, Eren is generic and has only killed things in titan mode, Levi is fangirl bait and the rest of the characters just sit in the corner and cry, it is far from the pinnacle of japanese animation. However, that does not change the fact that i had a hell of a lot of fun watching it and can't wait for the second season. I rate on a scale in which 6 is my average, so an 8 is actually quite high when compared to many others who have higher averages

I haven't watched it since I hate watching anime what's not complete and leaves you wanting more, hence why I haven't watched No Game No Life even though it gets a load good feed back.

That's the reason it's not on my list anyway, not like it would definitely be on my list anyway.

I wouldn't say its overrated at all, and it is one of the most "epic" anime ive seen ever so in no way shape or form does this anime deserve to be less than a five even if you do hate epic action anime.

The animation is also incredible and the fighting scenes are insane! It is defiantly a one of a kind anime for those reasons alone. I also loved the concept that it is like a fight to push back the titans and a chance of winning against them.

But the main reason for me liking this anime is that EVERY and i mean every character is well developed and is there for a purpose. I mean even if you took out 1 character in this anime it would have a big impact on the story and it wouldn't be the same.

I cant wait for a season 2 and i have heard of plans for a live action movie which if they do right... it is going to be amazing!
