I wouldn't say Apple is the worst company around, they are many other company's way worse than Apple. Only thing I don't like about apples iPhone's is they are to simple and not many features you can edit in the phone. I've had an iPhone ever since the iPhone 3 was released and never switched over to an Android but now since the iPhone 6 is being released soon, im switching right over to a Galaxy S5!

You pay for what you get when you buy Apple. You pay a little extra for that logo, but you do get better built products that last longer when buying from Apple.

They use germanium motherboards in the devices which make it run faster and more smoothly, but it is pricey. They also build their phones and what not out of smart, gorilla glass which is made to take a hit if it needs to. Apple is by no means a bad company, you are just mad and biased like most users that like to hate on Apple.

People act like there an innovating company when there not there products are generations behind and yes im very bias i find no benefit in buying an apple product at all

Smartphones, the personal computer, the GUI, the tablet market, the ultrabook market, the iPod...

imessage not the different from another other messaging app

Again, you're just incorrect.

care to explain how the iphones have drastically changed in the past 3 years?

Exactly the same way others have. Increased resolution, new software and UI, faster SoCs, new standards like LTE, etc.

They act like its something brand new when its not

Their approach to it is new. I don't see them claiming to have invented the wearable market.

idk if your being sarcastic here or not so im just ganna go with yes and that i use my nfc payments all the time its very efficient but once again society thinks it something brand new and its not

The great thing about Apple doing this is that they have huge clout, move a lot of hardware, and can get NFC payments widely adopted. NFC is not mainstream yet, but Apple will more than likely help that change.

i used a little exaggeration on the $300 Embarassed but they are still overpriced

pretty much the equivalent @ half the price sacrifice the **** retina for more storage

It's like you've never even used a laptop before. The Acer has a trash TN screen with low PPI, poor build quality, and slow mechanical storage. Do you know what an SSD is? CPU, memory, and graphics are among the least important things to consider in a laptop unless you want a gaming machine or workstation.

I still have a Galaxy S2. The screen is perfectly fine and doesn't have one scratch on it. I've dropped it numerous times as well, and I dropped it once from five feet onto a hardwood floor, screen first.

My friend had an iPhone, dropped it four feet from the ground onto the sidewalk. The screen was shattered.

Based on this, could I then say iPhones have a much weaker screen?

In my opinion, Apple's products don't last any longer or are any more durable than PC/Android devices at the same price.

Yours is through you and your friend.
Mine is working in the industry of mobile communications and selling hundred of devices a month and still having samsung as the most repaired device from screen breakages and audio issues.
Blackberry was next due to crap software and crashes
then iPhone with cracks.

I'm not saying that Samsung phones have stronger screens, even though in my personal experiences that has proven to be the case. What I am saying is that you can't really just assume that Samsung phones have weaker screens.

Is it possible that it was due to the fact that more people own Samsung phones compared to iPhones? Samsung phones, in 2013, sold [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . So, it's more likely that there will be more broken Samsung devices simply because they've sold a lot more than the competition.

Since iPhones are more expensive than the average Samsung phone (Samsung sells low, mid and high end phones), does that mean that people are more likely to take extra care when handling a iPhone as opposed to their Samsung device?

Also, if iPhone users want to repair their phone, wouldn't they go into an Apple Store instead?

I don't want an argument here and I respect your opinion, I'm just saying that there is no proof Apple's screens are more durable than Samsung's. The funny thing is, Samsung used to actually manufacture the retina displays Apple used in their products.

Oh my god..this thread.
Without going into a ton of detail.
-Apple support is terrible. My itouch's headphone port was broken and they wanted me to pay 150$ for a hardware fault.

-Android is better because of the appeal to a range of users. Android can customize everything that a jailbroken phone can and what they can do, stock. When rooting, even more options open

-More variety within the Android OS. I have yet to have an issue with durability. I work in a trade, my phone drops consistently.

Apple is fine and dandy, but phones that are comparable are cheaper then an iphone. You pay for the little Apple essentially.
