Ok, first of all, I am not the one that was banned, it was a friend. He wants to know how he can play the game again. I have looked all over the dayz and battleye support forums to find an answer, but it is just people lying about how they didn't hack. My friend did hack, being the smart boy he is, but he regrets it and wants to play again, he wants to know if he will need to buy it again using a different account or buying it on a different account as well as a different PC. Like does the ban stay on the PC he is playing on, or just the key that the one he bought comes with. Thanks guys.

The ban is associated with the Steam ID as of 1.63 patch where Gamespy services where removed and Steamworks API was implemented as a replacement.

To get a new copy of the game simply just make a new steam account and re purchase the game.

And it can all be done on the same PC? Will my friend have to uninstall the content and re-download it?

Nope, I have been banned from all BE associated games on one steam account for PBO Violation and I just bought DayZ, ArmA II:CO on a new steam and it was fine, you dont need to install it all either.

He hacked? The scum doesn't deserve to play again.
