I HATE when people say that the government should all out ban firearms. Do people not realize that without firearms, the government could literally do anything they please without worry, because the public would have no way to stop them. Also, over 13.7 million people in the United States hunt. That is 6% of the population of the US. Finally, I think the most annoying part of people wanting a ban on firearms is that most people who are scared of guns, have never even held or shot one. People only hear what's on the news about shootings and massacres. Nobody understands that guns provide food for families and are used in helping control the population of wildlife. Sorry guys its just annoying. /endrant

This is very true. And besides either way guns banned or not, people would still have and buy them.

Living in the UK, where almost all firearms are banned, my opinion is somewhat invalid, but seriously, the government isn't going to do anything to you if you didn't have a gun, that's just being paranoid.

I see where you're coming from, and I agree. I don't think the government is going to "come after us" it is just an example.

Obviously crime rate with guns will be low if nobody has guns.

Because the UK, an Island with tight border controls is comparable to the United States, a country with two huge borders where illegal guns can be imported easily.

Don't get me wrong, there is plenty of firearms on British streets, there just a lot harder to get a hold off.

tight border controls? I wish, they practically let anyone in, & hand them free health care and 30k a year benefits, that's why there is more foreigners than there is British people here, lol

It is not being paranoid. The guns are not to protect the people from people. Guns are to protect the people from the government.

Guns are always going to be here in the US as it is a right. And, guns will NEVER cease to be a thing here.
