I'm quite shocked at the amount of people that are banned from not on;y GTA, but Xbox Live, I've glitched (Via the SP - MP glitch) and made over 1 million dollars and not a single person has even hinted at a warning of this. Not sure why everyone else is getting banned.

People are getting banned because they joined money lobbies which is 100% against Microsoft's TOS.
Money glitches are completely different. Yes it's still cheating but you aren't modifying their game in anyway, you are just exploiting their mistakes.
Trust me, I've used plenty of money glitches in the past. My social club says I have a total of $33.7 million from car sales but there is no way in the world I'm going to get banned and neither are you as long as you don't act like an idiot by joined hacked money lobbies.

They also say that theyve been in modded lobbies raising their chances to get banned
