My Xbox 360 Slim lays on its side, not standing up. I was wondering if there is any way to clean the dust off of the metal grate type thing that covers the main fan on the top of the Xbox. I used a microfiber cloth to take off the dust on the outer plastic vents but there is still a lot of dust build up on the metal and the fan itself. I dont want to have to take my Xbox apart because I will most likely manage to mess something up when trying to put it back together.

Just look up a video tutorial on YouTube. You shouldn't go wrong apart from the fact you can void your warranty.

No do not use a (HAIR DRYER) it has contaminant's that are not good to get in xbox, I would rather you to keep your (ELECTRONICS) dusted regular and to (BUY) compressed air (co2) that is clean and to spray it out with that, but dont freeze the xbox just quick bursts of air! do this a few times a month and your (ELECTRONICS) will last alot longer, use the compresses air on your computer and what not, (I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE YOU MIGHT DO TO YOUR CONSOLE)

I've never got rid of the dust that's in my Xbox since I had my mine which is about 7 years old maybe and it still runs fine and healthy even though it's been flashed for over 3 years..
(I DO GET A VACUUM THAT HAS A BRUSH ATTACHMENT AND I JUST GO OVER MY XBOX WITH IT AFTER 3 MONTHS OR SO, NEVER VACUUMED INSIDE IT).
