Ghosts, definitely, and a futuristic cod is the worst idea.

Personally I understand the campers an Faze wannabes but Ghost is a competitive game so you need strategies an ways to win an those aspects of the game wont be leaving anytime soon.

I don't like where the series is headed either, but the series isn't dying.

You can only use a certain time stamp so much, until it gets stale.

They need a futuristic setting to cater to their creativity. It allows a wider audience appeal, and the possibilities are endless.

Unfortunately your right - the series is alive and thriving, however the spirit of the game is dead.

Non of these new cod's give you the same sense of enjoyment as it did no-lifing SnD on CoD4/MW2 - throwing sickys at school just so that you could stay home and rank up like a boss.

The target audience has changed - they've realized the game was played by a hell of a lot of 12-14 year olds so the thought process was simple, kids like to see futuristic content - hence we've got the game we have today.

Myself along with others have been saying it for the past what, almost 4 years now? the game is no longer an enjoyment to play - they need to revert back to how it used to be..

It breaks records every year but how many of those are old players hoping that maybe the game won't be as bad as it was last year only to find out that it is? a week or two later and game stores are full of traded in copys of the game.

Look at the number of people online playing multiplayer to the numbers that played MW2, MW2 thrived with numbers for a whole 2 years (helped by how poor black ops was.) but that aside that game was hella fun.

Cod won't die as it's a game where everyone will buy it then hate it after words and stop playing it as much.

Like this guy said, more people are discovering Call of Duty, the games are getting worse but the sales are increasing, that's all the franchise cars about.
