Theres plent of XP boosts etc ingame anyway and a new person joining wont realise wtf is going on witht he speed that the 300% bonus xp gives , heck in looms and rested with dungeons etc you can get 70+ in a day easy , with the 300% ontop , exlixir of knowledge etc most save for the RAF stuff you can easy go 90 in a day or two no trouble. plus you need to be within like 100 yards of each other for the xp to be active and within same party and what not and cause the veteran(or recruiter) will most likely know slightly more about wow they will very very quickly out level thier friend) granted theres level granting but its not worth it unless you cna both get some 90s within a short period of time
