I just read that there were 28 Australian's aboard the plane, so for my country this is truly horrible. To also read that it was apparently shot down by Russian-backed rebels also makes me angry. This will likely lead to consequences.

Rest in peace to all 280 passengers and 15 crew members onboard the flight.

The Australian PM isn't happy with Putin's response either, pretty much called it bull shit lol. It is about time someone put Russia in their place tbh.

What do you mean "put them in their place"? What did they do? What did he say? Because all I've heard what he's said is that he's going to try his hardest to investigate why the plane went down.

Australia are pissed because Russia are seeing it as a 'tragic accident' and dismissing the fact it was likely to have been brought down by Russian hardware.

We don't have a very good PM, I can come right out and say it. But actions have consequences, so Tony Abbott has to be smart about what he says, and not go right in to blaming people. But then again 28 Australian's have been killed in what should be directly looked at as a terrorist attack, so he is just saying what he feels should be said.

They have a photo of this "russian hardware" with a missing missile that could have possibly shot the aircraft down so as far as anyone knows it was probably the russians.

The US think Pro-Russian's are responsible for mistaking the plane as a Ukrainian military transport plane and shooting down a civilian airliner, using Russian and Russian supplied equipment/hardware. Technically Ukrainians shot the plane down but they are in favour of Russia taking over Ukraine so they are effectivly Traitors to the Ukraine.
