I needed to make a rant about racism as it honestly makes me sick to my stomach. Today I was watching the youtube video of the woman on public transport in London who is being absolutely vile to other passengers because they are not the same colour skin as her and she thinks they need to "go home". Firstly skin colour doesn't determine race and secondly just because someone has a different skin colour than your own it doesn't mean that person is a foreigner. Let's not forget the way the (White British) which she seems to think are so elite have treated and abused other races for our own advantage. Honestly just watching the video made me feel so sick and what makes it worse is that there are children who she is spreading her filth to who will know no better. This is just one example there are plenty of others I could bring up. (Racism in football is really bad like the Dani Alves banana throw and other sickening incidents)

I just can't stand people who think that they are superior over anyone because of their skin colour or race or whatever. Now I'm not saying that only white people can be capable of racism (far from it). Every race that has ever existed has had people that will judge and insult people that are not part of that particular race and I just think it's backward and ignorant.

The world would be a much nicer place without racism and whenever I see people being racist it actually makes me disgusted that people are so hateful for no reason. It's actually very sad to see, what makes it worse is that racism is passed down through generations as children are taught to look down on other races when they are young and don't know any better.

We are all humans so we should be tolerant and nice to each other. Unfortunately this is the world we live in though.

What are your thoughts?

I just read through the entire post and agree with you 100%, racism is one of the most sickening things that can ever be done or said to another being. People seem to think that racism died out in the 1960's after MLK, but people are too blind to see that racism still occurs today in our modern society. Obviously not to the standards of the 60's but it's still very real today. I remember watching a video of a women a while back cursing at an african american male for apparently scaring her kids after starting his car. I can't link it as it has too much racism and profanity for the sites liking but she started to call him racist names and continued to scream, harass and threaten him. I don't understand why people think that they can talk down to someone because they are of different race.

Another thing, is racial stereotypes. People seem to think if you're a certain race then you must have certain traits about you that aren't "normal" but it seems that everywhere you go you can always here someone, "oh that person's black he can't have a job" it just makes me sick to my stomach that people think that they can get away with this type of behavior.

That's my rant inside of a rant.

Also doesn't help with stupid groups in England such as Britain First and EDL gaining severe popularity among the uneducated. Really disgusted in all people who deem others a threat/inferior due to skin colour and ethnic background.

Racism will always be around, everywhere you go.

Lol, I've been called a racist multiple times from saying I hate Obama. (I'm white so ya know, it's automatically racist).

Half the time I just laugh at anyone who says racist things to me or whatever. They're just ignorant..

We can't really stop racism, as much as we all hate it and think it's sickening to see a world so full of hate, there's not much we can really do but deal with it. If anything there are less and less racists these days, so there's that. At least I think so, unless there's more racists that are secret racists.

I honestly don't get how people find racism offensive.

Like, " Oh no! He called me a 3 syllable word! I'm so offended I better run away and cry " Like, no. Racism is the exact same as being a general dick. You call people names. If words truly make you feel sick then all I can say is wow. I truly don't understand how people can feel that way.

I went to a public mixed race school so I heard it all about " racism " and to me, no. It's not offensive. It's just words. Calling someone the " n word " is like telling someone to F off. It's a word. Nothing more. Like I said, I don't know how people can even care about it and even think about how they think it's offensive, even to feel sick because of it. I will never know.

Sadly, racism has always been around and more than likely always will.

It's a horrible thing to hear on a mostly daily basis, and it hurts feelings and what not, but there isn't a lot to do to stop it.

I agree, it is only a word, and do not see why it should be considered racist?!?!
