Ok guys I normally don't post really anything anymore but I had the weirdest dream last night and I didn't really know who to talk to about this except for gamers cause this is a gaming website. One other thing it's not the MLG theory, I just didn't really have a name for it but you tell me what I should call it. So last night I had a good dream like normal (I normally remember my dreams pretty well) and towards the end right before I woke up something randomly hit me and said, what if the government is starting to make these video games harder and more realistic to brainwash us and give us more knowledgefor what is gonna come not necessarily soon but in our life times a war the the whole human race will be involved in or mabye just the US against idk China or some dictating territory. Lately I've been noticing how realistic these games have been getting with the technology and everything. Idk I just feel like video games go deeper than just playing for our enjoyment ( for example have the kenect sensor always on to monitor you?) I think the governments working with major video game companies and Microsoft to get people ready for WW3 (Im not the smartest guy in the world so anything can happen) Like I said I just woke up and went strait for my phone cause I had to share it with you guys. I just graduate from highschool so sorry if my grammar isn't proper but I am still sorta freaked out that something in my head told me about this. Let me know what you guys think an help me come up with a name for this theory!

that is why they call them "dreams" lol

but that is very interesting, but that would mean that we would be helping other countries if the government is "training" us for war because these games are all across the world. So it is highly unlikely we are getting trained from a T.V lol

I think you're trivializing war by comparing it to a video game. Nothing can prepare you for the moment when you have to pull the trigger on a fellow man.

I don't believe video games prepare for war whatsoever.

The difference in mental state between playing a video game and fighting in a war are extremely different.

This is why people get PTSD from war, and not from video games.

Actually I've thought about this previously, and I've talked to people about this. I don't think video games are preparing people for war, not entirely. I believe video games like call of duty are desensitizing the act of killing. So in a way I guess you could say it's preparing us for war. I don't think so, but I definitely think games are desensitizing killing.

exactly, because hitting a 1440 double instaswap fayde with the balista, instaswap to dsr through the bottom of carrier suicide final kill is preparing us all for war.
Thanks federal government.

A video game doesn't provide you with anything that could help you in war other than faster reflexes, but Mario will help improve your reflexes as well.
Moral of the story; No. Video games will not and can not prepare you for war.
