not in our life time at least because the us has the strongest military power as of july 2014 and thats the way america is going to "fail" from war and its gonna be nuclear which is gonna end the world thats why countries that don't like us americans haven't done anything because if so it would be the end of man kind as we no it but the rest of you might diss agree i don't care because every one is en titled to there own opinion and you never no i may be wrong but i feel like I'm the most logical answer to this topic thank you

Don't forget about Chicago, along with Detroit, it's a warzone. (Also pointing out they are some of the most liberal areas in the country and they are a total failure)

The America of today is nothing like it was in the 20th century sadly.

It's failing because we've elected horrible people to office. Once we start electing people that can make a change, then things will change for the better. Of course, the people could also rise up and start fighting for their country by challenging the presidency more. Then again, I don't know much on politics anyways.

You're talking about nuclear war like its definitely going to happen (which its not) you're looking over mutual assured destruction, countries wont risk nuking a country if they know the same will happen to them. Also America have anti nuclear missiles so its already a lot less risk of it hitting in the first place.

Looking at the "failing" part of this i will say that the country could continue to have an even bigger inequality which could cause mass poverty etc

I honestly don't know why everyone is comparing us to the Roman Empire. Correct me if I am wrong but the core reason they fell is because of Barbaric tribe invasions. They slowly fell due to all the states being invaded and taken over at different times.

I do not think the US will fall within the next 100 years. Obama got us more in debt to take us out of recession. So honestly it is unlikely that we will fall in the near future. I am not saying its impossible but just not likely.

Why do you say this?

The US still has the most thriving military in the world along with other powerful allies in which to help. Believe it or not, war is declining as we are supposedly in the most peaceful time in history. Countries are afraid to go to nuclear warfare as "an eye for an eye" comes into place. And the US may have extreme debt but so do hundreds of other countries. While debt is a problem, it isn't such a huge problem because of the military strength the US holds.
