Not really cool to call someone out in a picture about this. But I've seen this and it seems they're using it to bypass the 20 characters minimum.

I remember I did it before but I just stopped for some reason! I just thought it made the post look better some how. But like Wife said maybe sometimes they just want to bypass the 20 characters!

Hi
3322))

I started signing myself off on a different forum where the username was a little concealed
(bad design etc.)

I guess it's kind of stuck and become a habit now.
I'm not sure why other people do it though.

I have to agree with Tupac though -
imo, it makes everything look neater.

EDIT: I've never used -Polygon to bypass the 20char limit.

Some users do this because of preference, others do it to give their post a more personalized touch. Signatures have been used vastly to symbolize trust.

I know you said you weren't calling him out but usually people block out the persons name and just show the jist of what's happening.

Well I can't exactly block out the name to show if someones signing themself off, that's kinda the whole point of it.

It's fine!
I don't mind you using me as an example.
If it's just to show what someone does then I don't mind.

I have one question:
Why did you make a rant about this?

Not too sure in all honesty, I have these moments where I just see things and think. What's actually the point in this. I just wanted to find out other peoples views on the matter to see if they've noticed it and find it pointless or it's just me being me. Probably not the right section for the rant section but too late now.

I sort of thought this was only me, it's not a huge deal for me but I'm not a big fan when people sign themselves in their own post.
