So, my gold just ran out a couple hours ago. And since I don't have money to afford it right now I was looking through a gold giveaway. One thing that really just annoyed me was somebody saying they deserve it because when they have gold they are more active. And without it TTG isn't very fun. This bothered me because that's not a legitimate reason for gold? How does a badge on the site make you more active? Now dont go flaming me because I am not a gold member (like I said it just ran out). I love the site with or without Gold. And if I get it from somebody then great. If I dont, then great. I'm still going to remain an active member on the site regardless. As I went 2 years on this site before ever having gold!

I say that it my reasons for it went in fact, im on it just as much as i am if i don't have gold, for me gold just gives you more respect

simple way to get gold is to sell couple things and put the money on a card then insert in google wallet then buy it yurselve

I've never seen someone post that on a gold giveaway, but I completely agree with you, that's a terrible reason. If you "need gold to be active" then you should buy it yourself.

ive seen it a few times in the past then just saw it again today, since I figured why not give it a shot and enter a giveaway. And I totally agree with you there

Well I presume a lot of members think that premium is this huge thing. Not sure of what you achieve here but I know on other sites it's things like being able to give rep, change names etc.
If someone has yet to be upgraded, being upgraded sounds really cool. Before I was upgraded on other sites I was thinking it sounded really cool and truthfully I was a bit more active.
I wouldn't really say it's quite a "bs" reason on trying to be upgraded, but we all are entitled to our own opinions.
I do understand your point of view, just don't think it's true for all members.

I can honestly say I have posted something similar to that but not that I need it to be active but that when I was gifted gold (last month) it motivated me to be more active than I was which I still am continuing to be active now but the feeling of having gold was great!
