I plan on having one or two 12" inch subs (kicker). They might be 10". Sister has one, and its enough. My question is does two make it that much better without blowing them.

You can't get good subs without getting good speakers first. I mean you can but you're barely going to be able to hear the music because the subs will just overpower the speakers. Plus you'd also need an amp too. My advice would be, get new speakers if you haven't already done so and then get subs.

I currently have a 14" in my Chevy Malibu and believe me, it's plenty loud. It almost gets to a certain point where you can't have too many because then all music is, is loud thumps coming from your trunk or wherever your speakers are.

I got 2 12" kenwoods, 1000 watt amp, getting a new head unit in Monday. You need speakers and a new head unit. Factory doesn't cut it. Either the bass is outplaying the music or vice versa

I know what to do...... Kicker has a combo that gives you the sub and amp, all you need is a enclosure if you have good speakers already.

Ordered 2 12" Kicker CompR's. Should be pretty fun pissing off my neighbors.

I know plenty of people who haven't upgraded there speakers and just put in subs. YThat's not true, it doesnt over power the speakers at all. You can control the bass of the sub. Trust me, I've been in many cars with a set up like this.Unless you have plenty of money extra to blow, don't upgrade your speakers
