I bought Astro A40's today and they work perfect except for the chat on the xbox one. I hooked them up as instructed by Astros youtube video to the xbox one and updated my controller and what not. According to my friend my voice is muffled and hard to understand and sounds "like a crappy headset" if anyone has any ideas on how to maybe fix this please reply!

This really could be caused by a lot of things. Your headset, a wire, the adapter itself, or your controller.

I would test it on another controller if you have one, your Xbox 360 (if you have one), and test the mic that came with your Xbox to see if it is the controller.

I have Astro A40's that I use on my Xbox One and they work just fine. You could also try re-installing the update for your controller.
