I truly wonder if people even do this. I think it's more by their rank, like; Admin/Mod, Awesome, Ninja, etc.

When seeing people that have been a member for a few years and they have just a few posts it looks as though they are not active. however, what's to say that those few posts that they have done are not replies to questions that needed answering or replies to someone they required help?

It's certainly not the case with all members but some maybe.
