All right, so basically this game today... we have to win it. Once we win today we also have to win or tie vs germany / portugal. I'm kind of hoping that Germany curbstomps Ghana like they did with Portugal and they field a weak(er) team that we can beat. We pretty much beat their bench earlier last year.

I have the USA as going through

It looks promising as long as we beat Ghana but Germany has already won so that's a +1 for them already.

They have a hard group but I don't see it as the "group of death" as Portugal, as proven today, aren't as strong as they were during the last World Cup and Euro's. The only challenge in the group is Germany. Personally, I think group B or D should be labelled as the "Group of Death" as in group B there is Spain, Netherlands, Chile and Australia and in that group, we all know where Australia will finish. And group D contain Uruguay, Italy, England and Costa Rica and Costa Rica have proven that they are not to be messed with by smashing Uruguay 3-1. This is all just my opinion but I don't think USA stood a chance anyway. They do not have any prolific players

3) Portugal
4) Ghana

I have watched USA play some good football leading up to the world cup! beating nigeria,turkey and azerbaijan all on the way

I think they do ghana over tonight, good luck any how, on the plus side portugal arent that good apart from ronaldo & pepe will miss the next 2 games of the world cup

Can they do it? Yes. Will they do it? To be honest, i dont think they will.

I agree! go USA hope they get through

Since the US won and got 3 points today, it really helps them. Their next game is against Portugal, and Pepe got a red card today and will not be playing in that game. That gives the US a huge advantage against them. Although they did look shaky today against Ghana, I believe that now they have a better chance than they did yesterday in getting out of the group.
