Ok so I just would like to know if theres anyway to change your gamertag or any method without having to pay $9.99? It would be helpful.

Nope all other methods are patched.
Just go out and buy Microsoft currency and change it.
If you don't have the money, save up and maybe change your name later on when you have the money to get the card.
