So I just downloaded Adobe Illustrator because when I was real into GFX a while ago I wanted to download it, then my laptop broke. But I just downloaded it, and am wondering if anybody can give me their opinion on if its a good program or not. Any input is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I don't really do GFX, but I took a graphic media class when I was in High School.

It really just depends on what you are using it for.

Its a fantastic piece of software.

It can be tricky to get into but well worth the effort.

If you want to create smooth re sizable pieces then go for it.

Yes it's a brilliant piece of software for vector graphics, illustration, ect. Make sure you watch some tutorials though. It's a bit daunting when you first load it up, and you're presented with the wide variety of tools it has to offer. You'll grasp the basics pretty quickly with the help of YouTube and Google. :rockedover:

Thanks both of you. And I totally understand what youre saying about it being tricky, as it just looked a little more advanced. But practice makes perfect, and I enjoy doing GFX, so I will just continue to try and work at it.

Like the others suggest, a few helpful tutorials on YouTube should guide you through the beautiful piece of software.

Adobe Illustrator is a top notch piece of software. It has quite a high learning tolerance, but once you do learn it, it is perfection. Makes vector graphics which are mathematically perfect, and look great from any size variation without losing ANY resolution.
