I included an SSD, A R9 290 and a cooler to make use of the unlocked CPU and overclocking motherboard.

Edit: Just saw you included a monitor. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]

That second build you put there is good. I would switch the aftermarket cooler to a CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo since its higher performing and half the price.

I would rather just buy windows 7 rather than take a chance on getting it illegally.

why? I've had more problems with legitimate copies of Windows. Plus, it saves quite a few dolla's.

I guess I'm just afraid of getting a virus of something. I don't wanna screw anything up. So if anyone wants to point my in the direction to get windows 7 free, then let me know.

Just Google it. If you're not stupid, you'll be fine!

I don't consider myself stupid, but I'd still rather just buy windows 7.

You're buying a product key, thats it. If you get the most common Windows 7 which people obtain through naughty means, you install as normal then use a tool to crack it. If it ever fails, you use the tool again.

This would be a good starting point for a gaming PC, looks good.

Shop around for your OS because sometimes you can get them quite cheap, especially if you are a student.

What does being a student have to do with it?
