Hello everyone! So i thought i would share with you something that i have made as part of a little project iv been working on to design IOS 8. This design is for the Music Player App i hope you all like it
So the idea behind the main page of the app is to something i feel quite strongly about. The current IOS has only a small section for the album art. So with my design i decided i wanted to give back the space to the designer. I have done this by creating the whole background as the album art blurred and then a concentrated area. I believe that this gives a lot more attention to the design.
The next main element is the circular timer for the song. Apple have had the same style for many many years and i believe that i needs a update of image. So i have created a circular design around the album art. I believe it looks clean and professional
So now you've heard what iv had to say, let me know what you think with any improvements and your thoughts on the design

The Song List part -
Blur the album art alot more this will make the track listings clearer.
Kinda like the opacity you get now on iOS7
Music Player -
Again the opacity thing.
You dont need a full view and then the little view in the circle.
Am not a fan of the circular timer (personal opinion)
I do like the button size at the bottom though.
Album Covers -
I preferred the old style rollerdex type view.
The grid system works great on iTunes and iPads due to screen size, but not on a handheld device (iPod/iPhone)
Overall the styling is nice, but the concepts just dont sit right with me

Personally I think it's amazing and put together really well. It honestly looks real and like it could actually be used. Nice work man! A +

Thanks very much for your advice on the improvements, i think we have quite different tastes and personally i don't like the current IOS7 so i tried to go for something different. I might look into the album covers section cause i see what your saying about size problems

Some really nice work there Love the photography I was wondering would you mind if i use the photography image of the pier going out to the lighthouse. Have an idea for a little manipulation i might try and make
