So there is a gamertag i want, but the account that has it has nothing on it. Its a silver account no games played on it. no achievements. is there a way i can contact xbox to try to get the gamertag?

I've tried contacting them last month about it, apparently the gamertags will stay in the system until they've been inactive for 5 years. It sucks. Looks like I'll never have "Twerk" or "Derp".

Unfortunately no. There maybe a profile reset for all of the inactive accounts some time but no-one knows when it will be. The last gamertag reset was in 2011

Nope but I wish their was another gamertag reset, in that case you would be able to take it.
