I have an Xenon JTAG (paper weight but still runs like a champ), and a Trinity RGH. Both do really well

Then whoever you heard that from would be almost right. Slims and Jaspers are both the best by reliability, but I've had a Corona and a Trinity (Slims) That boot faster than my Jasper RGH2. So it really all comes down to which one you think looks better, slim or phat?

A good console is one that is reliable, can stay quiet and won't red ring on you. A "bad" console would be one that may have malfunctions, bad soldering, or some time of imperfection that makes the console unreliable

It honestly depends on your price range man. If you're looking for something cheep get a Xenon Jtag or an early phat jtag, but if you're looking for something expensive it would be the RGH slim or elite. Tbh I personally would get a cheaper jtag, because it boots up a lot faster and it's essentially the same thing as an RGH.
