Hello TTG! I was looking into gettting a gaming computer. I'm not sure if I should get a desktop or a laptop. As far as I know, the desktop has more potential, but less mobile. The laptop is the other way around. (More mobile, less potential). Which one is better in your opinion?

Desktop is more customisable to your wants/needs.
I have a pretty good desktop, I am thinking of buying a laptop too for when i'm traveling.

The desktop is better in my opinion, but it's really what you prefer. If you're on the go a lot and you wanna game might wanna go with a laptop. But if you're home a lot better go with a desktop. Price is a factor too, i believe desktops are cheaper(maybe if you build it yourself) but some laptops cost a lot and I've seen some cheap PC builds for gaming.

Desktop. You're going to spend a fortune to get a decent laptop which will handle games at decent settings. Then when you do, it's going to heat up a lot and will potentially over-heat. Also, desktop's have a longer life than laptop's. If you want mobility, get a laptop but it's honestly not worth it IMHO. You could get a mini-ITX desktop which is semi-portable.

I'm mostly at my house, but I sometimes go over to my buddy's house and game with him. I wish you could customize laptops as much as PC's but they're pre-built and you can't upgrade as much..

You can swap out laptop parts to a certain extent. Just build a custom desktop PC. Get a mini-ITX motherboard and case, this way it would be semi-portable and easy enough to move around from time to time.

You can game together on the internet. If you wanna game next to him you guys can get an apartment or build a gaming room and install both your PCs.

I might just do this. Seems like a better option.

It is your best option. You'll have more power than a laptop and it would still be semi-portable. Of course, a laptop would be easier to carry around but if your not travelling a lot then a mini-ITX build is the way to go. If you need help, PM me your budget and currency and I can help you with a build.
