You can buy these off amazon for about $4-$5 @ [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] Just hook up the HD side to your tv and make sure it on av and not HD then plug your turtle beaches into the av audio cables and walla it works and your xbox wont reboot

Oh yeah i forgot to say that i hae one of those cables
But the resolution with HD AV Component cable looks a bit worse than with HDMI.
That Audio Adapter thing was created for Xbox 360 to be used with HDMI
Audio Adapter has only Audio out (Red and White rca)

But is there any adapter that changes S/PDIF to 3,5mm Aux to plug my Turtle Beach Aux directly to S/PDIF on the back of my Xbox console?

Yes that looks like it would work but if i were you i would do some research before buying one of them. You can probably get one of those at radioshack for about 30-40 dollars (guessing because radioshack is expensive) or if you have a extra computer monitor you can use this : [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
And still use your av with hdmi like you were doing with your tv but the only difference is that you wont be changing the channel on your computer monitor (because it really cant) or you can hook the cable into your tv if you have a newer hdmi tv(it should have the vga cable jack) Just do that if you cant find any solutions. I searched that image you posted and those only work with xbox one and ps4(i did my research)

Well thats pretty stupid that those 'adapters' only work with PS4 and Xbone
I hoped that they would work with Xbox 360 too

I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the adapter and HDMI being plugged into the console at once. I have both a Turtle Beach and Tritton headset which I use my Tritton adapter for and I can switch between my TV, HDMI 1 (Xbox 360) and HDMI 2 (Xbox One) without anything getting reset. It's got to be some configuration with your Xbox noticing the output for the signal is gone.

Display settings on my Xbox are following
HDTV Settings
1080p
Screen Format
Widescreen
Reference Levels
Standard
HDMI Color Space
Auto
Display Discovery
Enabled
Screen Saver
Enabled

It won't restart my xbox if i have only HDMI plugged into xbox (this way i can't get game sound to my Turtle Beach because my tv doesn't have audio out)

I got it working
My Xbox isn't restarting anymore
I had to open the adapter and pull out all the pins that don't have a wire on them

Happens to me as well. No workaround, happens when you use HDMI and component for audio, as you are not supposed to be able to. Microsoft purposely make bumps in there component cables so you cant.
