if you can't get out of bronze, how the hell are you going to do good in a higher elo.

Plus people will just hate on you more in normals if they expect you to be a gold+ player and good, when you 're obviously not

This is nothing but the truth.

Not technically. I know quite a few players who are stuck in the grind of bronze that were high gold S3. They stomp on their lane each game, teammates often feed/afk so winning promos isn't a really possible for them.
A player isn't always bad just because they are in a lower league.

There is no way you can be high-gold S3 and then go on to be stuck in Bronze. Im low plat which is pretty much the same as high gold and when i was helping out a frined in bronze 3 i made it to silver in like 15games without losing 1. Every game i got extremely fed and had 150more farm than anyone else in the game. No offense or anything but the majority of players in bronze are really bad and just blame it on their teammates, if you cant get out of bronze in like 30-40games well then you deserve to be there.

Ok then, I am lying about my friend.. Cause it benefits me to do so
Now then, I don't know about you.. But being fed <> winning games. You can be 30/0 but your team can still throw the game.
To try and argue that it's impossible to lose if you are fed is wrong.
Regardless of what you do.. You won't always have your desired role, your desired champion, etc. Unless you are the type of inconsiderate player that is always like "im plat smurf let me mid or we'll lose". Just because you WERE a high league and you are a better player than your team does not mean you are some kind of god. You are in the same boat as everybody else and should be treated as such.
There are plenty of factors that determine the outcome of a game. Most are out of your control... Which is why you have the "GG elo hell" mantra within bronze league.

If you're gold+, and you're stuck in bronze, you either were carried last season, or your skill level greatly decreased over the pre-season period.

I was platinum 4 in season 3, and I played my friend's placement matches (played with/against bronze players) and I went 10-0 playing Riven every single match.
It really is not that hard to get out of bronze if you are/were gold+, unless of course as stated before you got carried/dropped in skill. I realize you won't win every single game because some games are just unwinnable, but if you are 2-3 tiers higher in skill level than your team and your opponents, you should be winning the majority of games. If you're not, it's you. Not your omg feeder afk elo hell teammates.

And yes, I agree that there are plenty of factors that determine the outcome of the game, but you are wrong when you say most of them are out of your control, because in fact, most of them can be in your control, as long as you're making good calls, and not flaming your teammates and calling them f*cking feeder noobs when they're 0-2-4 for example.

Actually it is easy to get out of bronze when you have good MMR Source: did it in 12 games at the start of the season.
But if you enter "ELO Hell" then it can be hard
Source: Demoted to Bronze after gaining 8LP a win losing 20LP per loss(Didn't get the warning message you're supposed to get idk) now currently getting 19 LP losing like 12 or something so my mmr is rising
Silver 5 is actually worse than high Bronze (Bronze 2) Source: Been in both
I carried a game in bronze yesterday Going 8-2-22 as lulu support feeding myself and my ADC then moving to mid lane where I had more AP than our mid laner but if it wasn't for the Vayne on the enemy team that went all in 0-3 and proceeded to keep going all in the rest of game then it would probably be a fair game because their players were alright we just snowballed of that one bad player and took it from there.

Personally I think the placement system needs to be reworked.

Yea it is easier to get out of bronze when you have a good MMR. But yea if you enter this thing you guys refer to as Elo Hell then it must be for a reason, you lost tons of games and won few.

I think the ranked system is pretty good as it is. If you have a good mmr that means you have a good winrate, and you deserve to get more points when you win, and less points when you lose.

Also, last season when you started your placement games your elo was around ~bronze1-silver5, and tons of people still got placed in bronze 4/5, and they kept losing so they fcked up their MMR and now they barely gain any LP, and if that happens to you thats no one but your owns fault. Yet the majority of the people stuck in bronze 5 keep blaming it on their teammates. I've played on bronze accounts multiple times and its so easy i legit have no idea how i was stuck at 1k elo at some point.
