All you do is say sorry i know more about football your definitely a 38 year old fat guy who gets bullied and i doubt your going to the world cup because benefits would not cover that.

Well.. I definitely lost a few calories while laughing through this topic.

The reasoning behind the rivalry is to do with the success of both of the clubs. It's the same as Bayern Munich & Dortmund, Real Madrid & Barcelona.
Probably more reasons have stacked up over the years, but I just can't be bothered to type all of them up.
