I've noticed how the TTG staff don't prune the perma-banned members.
This is my theory to why they don't erase those who are permanently banned
Now, what I was thinking is...
They don't do this to keep their member count. Currently, TheTechGame has [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . I think that if they were to prune all the perma-banned members, the total members would decrease from somewhere around like 20-50%. Now, we all know TTG is notorious for the most popular gaming/tech website. If they pruned, they might lose that title.
This is what I concluded. Tell me what you guys think.

This is mostly true, they really are attention whores wanting to be the biggest. Most of the accounts are all either banned, spam accounts, or all from the 0-day exploit.

Nah
Go to Account.html#users_list
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Multiply number of pages by 10 and subtract that number from the current number of members
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
And you get about 83,095 suspended or deactivated. That's about 5.5% of the total. Why would we say people who created an account did not create an account, whether they were suspended or not? This makes no sense.
Heaven forbid a forum and news site want attention, too. Despicable.

If you have ever ran a website site or been apart of a substantial website you would know you don't remove accounts from the database. It causes unnecessary issues. Also it is possible that these people could be unbanned for w/e reason, if unlikely.
