step 1- make an account and then hit a on join xbox live.
step 2- enter all the required info
step 3- when it says reedeem code or choose membership hit a on no thanks
step 4- keep hitting no until it says free 30 days if you fill billing info
step 5- click yes and fill out info(Make sure there is no money on that card.)
step 6- Use the account until it gives you a notifacation to change your billing info when your trial is up.
step 7- hit no to that and you will xbox live forever on that account!

I hope this helps as id did for me since my main account ran out of xbox live to day and i made another account a month and a half ago when i logged on it it said that question do you wanna adjust my billing info and i said no and i have unlimited xbox live gold (not silver, you can stay in parties and play games and all of that good stuff)
