I am torn between the gtx 760 or gtx 780. The problem is the price although I definitely know I can afford either. The 780 really good and will be good for a fair few years and is also good at higher resolutions but the this is my first build and I think the gtx 760 will be suffice for 1080p 60+ fps

Thoughts please

What monitor do you have? What are the rest of your specs?

It's generally best to buy what does what you want now and upgrade more frequently. Future-proofing is not real and you can't beat the industry.

In all honesty, if I had the money to buy the 780, I would, just to boast about it and because IMHO, if I have the money for something, I'll get it.

However, it would be more logical to get the GTX 760 if it's going to do the job for you and suits your build. Also, if you get the GTX 760, you could buy something else with the money saved, such as a second monitor or new peripherals. The GTX 760 is still a fantastic card.

As of right I do not have a monitor. Could you suggest a good 1080p monitor?
This is is the build I had in mind but like I said I could get the GTX 760 and save 200

OP this saves a bit of money, most likely due to saving on postage by buying from one etailer and going mATX. Also that SSD you chose is waaaaay too much money.
