I am coming from an iphone 4 (old, i know) and im in the market for the new phone. I like the HTC One M8, Samsung Galaxy s5 or the iphone 5s.

Widen your range, also wait there are many phones yet to come out that may be more powerful than these, buy too early and you may regret it later, also look into the oppo find 7, its a nice powerful phone that competes with the 3 phones you mentioned, and has the first 4k display
