Do I really have to point out that 100s of people in neglected and poor countries die, daily?
It's sad to think that none of you give two craps about them, but a little white girl dies from a falling wall?
These people die from starvation, infections, war & terror.
Most of you are clich, pretending that you actually care about this girl, none of you are affected by this, unless ofcourse you knew her. Which I doubt many or none of you did.
Go ahead and dislike the post, because truth hurts and no one accepts it.
People only care about things when the media jams it down their throat.

Questions are being raised over safety breaches at the school after the girl was crushed by a wall reported to have been unstable.
Tributes have been left for a 12-year-old girl, named locally as Keane Wallis-Bennett, who died when a wall collapsed on her at school.

Emergency services were called to Liberton High School in Edinburgh shortly before 10am.

Ambulance staff treated Keane, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her family have been informed.

Friends have begun leaving messages of remembrance on Facebook. One reads: "Sleep tight beautiful," while another says: "No child should go to school and not return home. RIP Keane Grace Wallis-Bennett. Horrible news."

Health and safety breaches at the school are now under investigation amid reports that students had raised safety concerns about the wall that collapsed in the PE block.

No, it's the fact that she died in a place where she should have been safe by a wall which shouldn't have been unstable.
This is gaining media attention because of the circumstances under which she died, not just because she died.

If you want to help out in Africa, go and help out in Africa, but don't come on here all high and mighty and accuse others of not caring about it.

Getting back on topic here...

The school should be shutdown and everything be checked.

Until everything is cleared, then it may re-open.

It's sad to see a school which is supposed to teach, protect, and care for kids cause someone to die.

I'm not going to sit here and say what the media says "I feel so bad" because I did not know her. It sounds harsh, but why should I be able to say that without knowing her at all.

I think this is terrible? A 12 year old girl, in her school, Schools are supposed to be safe and a friendly environment. The fact she wasn't climbing on the wall makes it worse, how could you not notice a wall which was near to falling?

I'll apologise for the late reply, as I don't get notifs about threads I post on.

You say 'It's the fact that she died in a place where she should have been safe'
In which case you are very correct, though I must come back with the obvious, how about the peoples homes who are raided and young boys/fathers taken for slavery and taught to kill. The young girls and women taken and abused/raped.
What I say may be harsh, it's the truth.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be high and mighty, and what would I be so top about anyway? Commenting on a thread? Speaking the truth?

That is very sad and tragic but where was her supervision and why would anyone in their right mind not give her a heads up that the wall was unstable?

I'm sure the school was unaware of the situation, therefore it fell with no notice.
The area of the school would have been off limits until fixed.
Supervision wouldn't have made a difference, a teacher couldn't hold a wall up or move the young girl to safety in a matter of seconds when it started to fall.
