I've just had my biggest bullshi^ defeat on Fifa 14 ever, and I blame it 100% on the horrible excuse of an offside system Fifa 14 has.
First off I will admit that I ended up rage quitting on the 88th min at 2-1 when the boy got the winner, fair enough the boy I was playing deserved both his goals albeit they where OP heads.
However... I had to endure this bullshi^ beforehand.
NOT once... but TWICE, I took a shot, rebounded off keeper, scored with other player. I get penalized for offside and my goal disallowed... TWICE! I also had a one on one break away chopped off that was 'just' onside, and they show a hairline saying it was off.
For those of you who don't know the offside rule, it's when MY PLAYER passes to another player that is past every defender on the other team. When the ball rebounds off my opponents keeper that DOES NOT count as offside regardless of where my player is.
Quite sad really, apparently FIFA doesn't know what 'offside' is.
These are the main three problems I encounter at the very least once per day, usually multiple times.
1. You can't be 'JUST' onside, if you are 'just' onside and no more it will show a hairline saying you where off.
2. You still get penalized for offside EVEN if the ball doesn't go to that player.
3. Rebounds off keepers, DO NOT count as offside. In real football it ONLY ever counts if it came off or was passed by my player.
Absolute shambles of an offside system, had a few games I lost that I shouldn't have because of such a badly designed offside system, it's FIFA for god sake! If you expect ANYBODY to get it right it would be THEM.... Credit to the guy I was playing though, he sent me a simple message saying "don't blame ya m8 lol" which I appreciated, even my opponent agreed that I was severely bullshitted.

Nope
You've been around to many 'mad children', at no point did I say the game was shi^ or I am never playing it again.
I'm merely saying the offside system is a shambles, which I'm sure nobody that knows football will disagree with.

The offside system is part of the game, every game has a faulty mechanic at some point.
No point ranting about stuff you cannot influence.
And yes I have been around many "mad children" i became a member of a site full of them lol (I refer you to your post about rants the other day )

Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinions. I'm aware that it can't be influenced, I'm just annoyed that FIFA of all people can get such a simple thing wrong, fair enough point 1 and 2 isn't that big of a deal, but 3 is what really annoys me, how rebounds off an opponent can count as offside, leaves me truly baffled.
Fair enough, you are entitled to your opinions. Oh mate im with ya, not on Fifa as 13 annoyed me enough to not get 14 lol.
But there are plenty of games out there that make me want to throw my controller/mouse through the screen lol

Nope
Ive stopped playing, the game is crap and I dont see why people still play them, if you still put up with their crap they are actually going to put effort into the next game because you will play it regardless how crap it is, they will be making money from you

Actually, if a player was in an offside position when the original shot was taken then he can't put the ball in the net.
